Center Renovation

 

QPK Design provided design and construction administration services for the renovation of a 44,500 SF, c. 1967 campus bookstore and dining facility into the main student and faculty campus center.  The goal of the renovation was to create a daytime hub for student and faculty interaction, and a centralized home for student activities. 

 

The new design:

 

The program on the main level included dining and lounge areas (seating 200), an expanded and improved food service area using an open serving concept with multiple pay stations, offices, meeting space, student worksite, information center, and a student services area.  The program on the lower level included computer lab, mail and printing center.

 

Recipient of an Award of Merit for Interiors from the CNY Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
