Saratoga Bus Maintenance Garage

 

QPK Design is in the design development phase of developing a new 72,700 SF single-story transit bus maintenance and storage facility on a 13-acre site for the Capital District Transportation Authority. The project is being designed in compliance with LEED® standards (determination has yet to be made to persue LEED® certification.) Programmatically, the facility will include administrative offices dispatch areas, conference rooms, locker rooms and break rooms (separate areas for drivers and meachanics), parts storage, tool room and compressor room. The maintenance portion of the facility will include a 4-bay bus maintenance area equipped with both portable and stationary bus lifts, and overhead reel system. The building is also being designed to accommodate indoor storage for approximately 36 buses. 

 

The building will also include an indoor diesel fueling station, accommodations for daily bus interior cleaning, vaults
