Colgate Campus Center

O'Connor Campus Center

Renovation of a 44,500 SF, c. 1967 campus bookstore and dining facility into the main student and faculty campus center. The new design:
– introduces as much natural light as possible into the main and lower levels of the building.
– creates a welcoming and distinctive entrance to the center of the building.
– creates program integration and easy circulation flow.
– creates a sense of community and diversity by giving each space its own distinctive character.
The program on the main level included dining and lounge areas (seating 200), an expanded food service area, offices, meeting space, student worksite, information center, and a student services area. The lower level included computer lab, mail and printing center.
