The Commons at Turning Stone Casino

“The Commons” at Turning Stone features 4 separate boutique shops located within the Casino/Tower’s Winter Garden concourse. The commons introduce new shops with a mix of contemporary fashions and accessories:

• Polly Cooper: Modern women’s fashion and apparel;

• Revel Supply: Contemporary men’s and women’s apparel and casual wear, as well as accessories from national brands;

• Juniper: Women’s jewelry and accessories; and

• Willow and Jay: Women’s stylish clothing.

The challenge was to create unique boutiques in a secure but transparent environment that compliment adjacent spaces. The design solution is bright and contemporary, attractive yet minimal to emphasize the merchandise.   Primary enclosures are metal structural framework with frameless glass panels accented with wood and stone materials that reflect the Adirondack style of the existing lobby.

All merchandising case goods and feature elements were custom designed and fabricated for the project. A tall rotunda element, with a shimmer screen shade, an expansive arced wood-framed canopy, and the Revel balcony appropriately fill the two-story volume and capture shopper’s attention. Bright, flexible decorative lighting provides ease of change and branding emphasis.
