Craftsman Inn, Site Renovation

The Craftsman Inn & Limestone renovation project goals included providing a comprehensive design with site elements and plantings that reflect the craftsman style and site reprogramming to improve circulation and building accessibility.

A large covered outdoor patio with a wet bar, gas firepit fixtures, and custom lighting was added on the west building facade where parking formerly existed. This work was coordinated with the owner's architect. A large steel pile and hardwood slat retaining wall was constructed to allow for parking expansion on a previously steep, wooded portion of the property. Porous pavement and bioretention areas mitigate increased stormwater discharge. Building entrances to the restaurant and hotel were reconfigured to provide accessible parking and egress. A custom monument sign was designed to increase business visibility while providing identity for the Craftsman Inn brand.
