Elbridge Town Park Master Plan

QPK  Design  provided  master  planning  services  to  the  Town  of  Elbridge  for  a  park  on,  and  adjoining,  their  municipal  facilities  complex  in  the  Village  of  Jordan,  NY.  It  was  developed  in  collaboration  with  a  steering  committee  comprised  of  town  staff,  town board, town planning board members, and community representatives.  The  existing  complex  includes  the  Elbridge town hall, town highway facilities and Jordan-Elbridge Community Center. 

The  plan  includes:  a  network  of  trails  connected  to  the  Canalway  Trail  and  municipal  complex  walks;  new  pond  with  fishing  access/scenic  overlook;  picnic pavilion/performers  shelter;  outdoor  concert  seating  area;  interpretive  play  area;  athletic  courts;  restroom;  and   additional   parking.   Nature   education   signage   is  proposed  along  the  trails;  and  history  education  signage is proposed adjoining a planned retaining wall at the edge of the pond constructed with cut limestone block  similar  to  that  used  on  the  historic  canal  which  once existed along the south side of the park.
